In his recent visit to India, Cardinal Sepe, too, commemorated St. Francis Xavier:

Francis Xavier was a great saint, a courageous person, seeking always the will of God, never concerned for his own safety or comfort, but always concerned to reach out to the poor, the lowly, the suffering and the weak, with the message of Christ's love.
(Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Special Envoy of Pope John Paul II; Message; Ernakulam, Kerala; 17 Nov 2002)

While you're there, also check out the Fides site on Cardinal Sepe's visit.
