Meanwhile, in the US, Cardinal Law's panel has recommended a "zero tolerance" policy towards sexual misconduct by clergymen. Given the scale and nature of the scandals unveiled over the past few months, this would be just the kind of action required to restore the faith of the American Catholic in the Church.
