Heartening news from Gujarat - a Muslim girl will wed a Hindu boy to promote communal harmony. The Hindu rites were conducted by the bride's maternal uncles (who are Muslim)!

While I'm certainly happy for the couple, I hope society's able to accept them without bias. Mixed-marriages are very difficult affairs. The silver lining is that this wedding happens with the full approval of both parents. So maybe the couple has a chance after all.
