After almost a decade of strife and confusion in the Chess World, history has been made - we will have a unified World Champion next year. The idea is to have the Dortmund qualifiers and match with Kramnik (the current World Champion) to proceed as planned; while simultaneously having a Kasparov (the highest ranked player in the world) - Ponomariov (FIDE Champion) match. The winners of the two matches play a unification match between them. Wow!
